TIGER&DRAGON

TIGER&DRAGONは、大阪を拠点に活動するベース＆ドラムの2ピース・インストゥルメンタルバンド。
前身バンド「grunband」として様々な形態で活動を重ねた後、
2017年1月より現在のベース＆ドラムによるデュオ編成へ移行。

2022年10月より現名義「TIGER&DRAGON」として活動を開始し、独自のスタイルを築きながら進化を続けている。
ベースとドラムのみ、いわゆる「リズム隊だけ」の編成でありながら、キャッチーで力強く、時に繊細さも感じさせる楽曲を展開。

ミニマルな編成とは思えないダイナミズムと自由度で、2ピースインストゥルメンタルの可能性を広げている。
インストゥルメンタルならではの強みとして、言葉に頼らず音そのもので感情や熱量を伝えられることも大きな魅力の一つ。

国や言語の壁を越えて、誰もが直感的に楽しめるサウンドを追求している。
メンバーは、バンド活動にとどまらず、シンバル製作、音楽講師、他アーティストのサポート、プロデュースなど多方面で活動。それぞれの経験と個性が、迫力あるライブパフォーマンスへと還元されている。

TIGER&DRAGON is a bass-and-drums instrumental duo based in Osaka, Japan.
After performing in various forms under their former name grunband, they transitioned into their current bass-and-drums duo format in January 2017.

In October 2022, they officially began activities under the name TIGER&DRAGON, continuing to evolve while building their own distinctive style.

Consisting of only bass and drums — a so-called “rhythm section only” lineup — the band creates music that is catchy, powerful, and at times delicate. With a level of dynamism and freedom that goes far beyond what their minimal setup suggests, they continue to expand the possibilities of two-piece instrumental music.

One of the unique strengths of instrumental music is its ability to communicate emotion and energy without relying on words. TIGER&DRAGON pursues a sound that can be enjoyed instinctively by anyone, crossing borders and language barriers through music alone.

Outside the band, the members are also active in a wide range of fields including cymbal making, music education, supporting other artists, and production work. Their individual experience and character are fully reflected in the band’s powerful live performances.
